She was also was an active and passionate member of the Referees Association.

Quita became an A grade referee who was a standout during both senior and junior games and also assisted neigbouring country associations during their finals.

Once qualified, Quita refereed up to two nights a week for over 10 years, this was on top of her duties as a member of the Committee.

She also took and active and supportive role on the Tournament Committee and volunteered for many different roles within the Association in an exemplary fashion.

When Southern Peninsula ran their own Tribunal, Quita was a helpful and considered member of the tribunal on many occasions.

She managed the Senior Sharks team under Darrel Timion in 1994 and Brett Rolfe in 1995 and 1996.

Quita also coached at Domestic level for many years and was a Junior Representative Coach in the boy’s competition for four years and developed an excellent rapport with the players and their parents.

Well done to Quita in all she has accomplished and continues to accomplish both inside and outside of basketball.

She has been an oustanding role model for many years and has shown what it takes to earn life membership of the association.
